Exercise helps to make the bones stronger, by retaining the calcium in the bones and prevents osteoporosis. ('Osteoporosis' is a condition in which the bones become porous It keeps you younger.

If you already have diabetes or blood pressure, it improves sugar/glucose controlin diabetes. It helps to bring the sugar levels close to normal. It also improves blood pressure. If you already on medication for diabetes or blood pressure then it helps to decrease the medication.

 
It improves the circulation in the brain. It improves concentration and memory.
Children who exercise have better memory and better vocabulary.
 
It increases the capacity of the lungs and makes them stronger. In general, it helps you feel fit strong and active.
It improves the functioning of body's immune system and thereby protects against infections. It lowers bad Fat in the blood: cholesterol (the bad cholesterol) and triglycerides in the blood.
It increases your mental alertness and concentration. Reduces the risk of developing lower back pain.
Exercise helps in building muscle which helps you to burn more calorieseven at rest. It is the best way to increases HDL in the blood (HDL is the "good" or 'protective' cholesterol in the blood).
